However, neither one made it past the first round. Addie, seeded #7, lost 1-2, and Maggie lost 0-2.

Thirty-two Arizona high school girls doubles teams qualified to play in the Division 1 State Doubles Tennis Tournament. Xavier qualified two doubles teams in the Division 1 State Double Tennis Tournament.

  • Leighton Champagne ’28 / Chayse Clingan ’25, seeded #5, won round one 2-0. However, they lost their round-two match-up against a Boulder Creek doubles team 1-2.
  • Julia Chrostowski ’25 / Gabrielle Dinan ’25, seeded #3, advanced as far as their seeding projected — the semifinals.

On Day 1, they won round one 2-0 (6-0, 6-0) and round two 2-0 (6-2, 6-0) in dominating fashion. In like fashion, they dominated the quarterfinal match-up 2-0 (6-3, 6-0).

However, they lost in the semifinals 0-2 to one of two Desert Mountain doubles teams to make it to Monday’s Final.
