The Varsity soccer team beat Chandler High School last night by the score of 4-0!

The Gators dominated the game from beginning to end and every player on the team played and contributed solid minutes. Senior forward Maddie Schenk assisted Junior midfielder Ally Brown with a nice pass that Ally lasered past the Chandler goalkeeper.

The second goal, which was also assisted by Maddie Schenk, was by senior captain Lourdes Lauterborn. Lourdes used some nifty dribbling skills to go around a Chandler defender or two and then struck the ball into the upper part of the goal underneath the crossbar and bounced in for the goal.

The third goal was scored by sophomore Myriam Lawrence who took a nice pass from sophomore Elie Lopez. Myriam took a nice touch and then shot the ball up high over the goalkeepers head.

In the second half the Gators had many opportunities to score but only got on the board one time. The Gators were fouled in the Box and senior captain goalkeeper Kate Willmering took the penalty kick shot and blasted it by the Chandler goalkeeper for the 4th and final goal of the night.

The Gators next take on Perry High School Thursday night at Perry at 7:00 p.m. Good luck, Gator Soccer!
