On Tuesday, the JV Soccer Gators hosted the Chandler Wolves while braving the rain, wind, and lightning on Petznick Field.

Captain Maya Dolasinski opened by scoring seven minutes into the game with a penalty kick. Sydney Conti served a ball to Genevieve Jordan for a fine finish. Five minutes later, Genevieve sent a cross to Arianna Broderick who slotted it home. Next, Sophie Silvestri assisted Genevieve for her second goal. Just before the half, Riya Mehta drove to the end line and slipped a ball back for a Kate Williams one-time finish giving the Gators a 5-0 lead at halftime.

Second half scoring began on another set piece by Sunney Merida, who took a free kick directly into the Chandler net for a fine goal. Arianna Broderick then found Genevieve Jordan again for their second combination goal, completing Genevieve’s hat trick on the night. Riya Mehta then slipped in yet another centering pass and Anna Rains flipped into the goal to complete the Gator scoring.

The 8-0 win warmed the hearts of the supporters who braved the elements to cheer on the Gators.
