The JV Soccer Gators were on the road again Tuesday, this time at Desert Vista.

The Gators controlled the play in the first half keeping the ball in the Thunder defense’s end anchored by solid midfield play by Sunney Merida and Kierstyn Boyd. However, Desert Vista was able to get one change on goal against the run of play, scored, and took a 1-0 lead. The Gators kept at it and with 7 minutes to go in the half, Maya Dolasinski played a free kick into the goal mouth and Quinn Osborne nodded it home to tie the match at 1-1 going into halftime!

The second half was mostly Gator possession and Thunder fouls while Sydney Conti found Ari Broderick with a long pass headed for the Thunder goal; Ari took on the Goal keeper 1v1 and, with great composure, slotted the ball into the net for the winning goal.!

The 2-1 victory puts the JV team at 2 and 0 for the season, looking ahead to next week’s first home match against Boulder Creek.
