The Xavier Track & Field team took 6th place out 21 teams in their annual trek to the NE Valley Region meet at Horizon HS last week on Monday 5/3 and Wednesday 5/5.
Actually, the Javelin competition was held on the previous Friday, 4/30. It was there that one of two Xavier Top Ten marks was made. Callie Ehmann threw a 2ft-5in PR of 88-4. This moved her from 4th to 3rd on Xavier Top Ten list, 5 ft. – 10 in. away from the school record. A sophomore, Callie has two track seasons remaining in her high school career to reach that goal.
The other Xavier Top Ten mark was produced by Junior Avery Allen in the Pole Vault. She increased her All-Time Xavier #2 mark from 10-0 to 10-6. With one track season remaining, Avery is now just 12 inches away from the school record. Avery came in 2nd place in the pole vault and was the top place-getter for Xavier.
