Xavier Track & Field took ninth place at the AIA Division I Track & Field Championships at Red Mountain High School on Thursday and Saturday of last week.

Vivian Amoia ’25, school record holder in the 100m and 200m, broke her own 100m record in the prelims. She upgraded her 12.31 Xavier-Best to 12.27.

Alexa Zowine ’25, school record holder in the Javelin, took first place in the Javelin with a throw of 138-11, more than ten feet better than 2nd place.

Marley Stoller ’25 won her heat in the 400m prelim and then took 3rd place in the finals.

Eleanor Borchard ’25, school record holder in the 100 and 300 hurdles, won her 100H prelim and then finished 5th in the finals.

She won her 300H prelim on Thursday. In Saturday’s 300H final, Eleanor — uncharacteristically — had trouble with several hurdles; however, she passed two girls on the home stretch to finish third.

The 4x400m Relay team took 2nd place in their prelim and then took 3rd place in the final. Vivian Amoia (59.43), Marley Stoller (57.68), Kennedy Frakes (61.87), and Eleanor Borchard (56.22) made up the relay team. This group is in the Xavier Top-Ten list at #4 with a time of 3:54.69 from the NE Valley Championships from the week prior. Their time for this meet was 3:55.20.

Kennedy Frakes ’26, in her first year running track for Xavier, has been stuck in the 2:22s for the 800m the last three meets. In her last meet of the season, Kennedy brings her PR down to the 2:20s (2:20.70).
