The JV Soccer Gators hosted Sunnyslope on Monday afternoon.

The first half scoring was left up to the team’s two juniors; Quinn Osborne opened the scoreboard with an unassisted goal and then Maya Dolasinski placed an Olympic goal, direct from a corner kick, to put the Gators up 2-0 at the half.

The team went for it in the second half with Riya Mehta scoring first followed by a composed dribble and finish by Sophie Silvestri who was assisted by Giovanna Gage. Riya then found Sunney Merida who placed a nice shot into the Viking net. Genevieve Jordan wrapped up the scoring with two goals in two minutes, first finishing an assist by Valentina Blanco and then tapping in a goal from a sweet, slot pass from Ari Broderick. Solid midfield play by Kierstyn Boyd and Riley Cothern kept the Vikings at bay.

The 7-0 puts the Gators’ record at 7-3-1 with one final match remaining in the season. Go Gators!
