The JV Soccer Gators played their first match of the season at home on Petznick Field in style.

The Gators jumped out to a 5-0 halftime lead with the first goal by Ari Broderick that was assisted by Annie Rosendahl. Next, Quinn Osborne found Genevieve Jordan who scored. Then Quinn found Riya Mehta for a goal. Riya Mehta then assisted on an Anna Rains goal. Just before the half ended, Quinn Osborne again found Genevieve for Gen’s second goal, giving Quinn a hat trick of assists in the first half.

The second half began with Kate Olson assisting Ari Broderick for her second goal. Goal keeper Chloe Cundiff sent a deep ball to assist Ari with her third goal, completing her hat trick on the day. The Mercy Rule was tripped when the Gators scored their eighth goal of the evening, Riya Mehta assisting a Reese Terveen rocket into the net to end the match at 8-0.

The Gators take on their Final Exams next, certainly with equal gusto. Go Gators!
