#1 Beach Volleyball Defeats #8 Corona del Sol in State Quarterfinal Match-up

On Wednesday night, Xavier Beach Volleyball won four out of five matches to win the Quarterfinal match between the #1 Gators and the #8 Corona del Sol Aztecs on Xavier's home court.

Xavier advances to next Monday's semifinal after having finished the regular season ranked #1 in State Division 1, owning an undefeated 13-0 record, and recording ten shutouts. 

The Gators will play the #4 Thunder of Desert Vista this Monday night at 7:00 pm at Casteel High School for the right to play in the Championship Match.  Desert Vista went 10-1 on the season. Their only loss was to the Gators in a close one: 2-3.
