NOTE TO THE READER: Notice how many freshmen (FR) and Sophomores (SO) and Juniors (JR) you see as you read, and how few Seniors (SR) you see. The future is bright!
The Gator 4x400m Relay team of SO LilyGrace Anderson, SO Nina Rao, FR Avaani Lallian, and SO Claire Hertzberg put an exclamation point at the end of the NE Valley Championships on Wednesday evening, 4/29, at Horizon High School. Going into the 4x4, the last event of a long, two-day meet, Coach Eaton gave the girls a choice: If you're too gassed after all you've done in this long meet, you can elect to not run the 4x4 tonight, or you can run it anyway.
They ran it anyway and somehow produced a season-best time of 4:01.91.

In the first lap on the backstretch, Avaani went from around 12th place to 4th by the top of the second curve. She held 4th place until the homestretch of last lap, where she moved into 3rd and finished strong. She ran a smart, solid race.
Avaani is ranked #11 in Division 1.
SO Nina Rao
Lowered her PB for the sixth time this year, beginning with her first race of the season when she ran a 2:32. New PB: 2:23.54.
