Thirteen Xavier College Prep Seniors Named 2019 National Hispanic Recognition Program Scholars
Congratulations to Xavier seniors: Mariana Acevedo Garcia, Maria Arvizu-Diaz, Enelia Bidwill, Eliza Dominguez, Victoria Jimenez, Sydney Larriva, Janet Macias, Michelle Montalvo, Karla Moreno Polanco, Andrea Orozco, Blanca Soto, Angelica Villalba and Carmen Villalba, each of whom has been named a 2019 National Hispanic Recognition Scholar by the College Board. The NHRP identifies outstanding Hispanic/Latino high school students, and each year more than 7,000 students are selected for recognition from a pool of more than 250,000 students who took the PSAT/NMSQT and identified themselves as Hispanic.
Students with grade point averages of 3.5 or higher and achieve the required score are designated as Scholars. While the College Board does not provide monetary awards for the National Hispanic Recognition Program, recognized students are distributed to subscribing schools in October.
