Dear Prospective Xavier Students and Families,
Thank you for your interest in Xavier College Preparatory. The choice of the right high school is a very important decision for you and your family, and we encourage your serious consideration of Xavier as you begin to evaluate your options.
We offer a unique environment for young women with an outstanding college preparatory curriculum. This school year 2017–2018, we will begin the celebration of Xavier's Diamond 75th Anniversary and our longstanding tradition of women of faith pursuing excellence. This has been the hallmark of our school since we opened in 1943. From our beginning and continuing today, Xavier has been staffed by the Sisters of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
A young woman who becomes a student at Xavier becomes part of our community and our family. We are dedicated to our mission of preparing our students with the skills, integrity and confidence they will need to meet the demands of a constantly changing global society.
Our Catholic identity is present and actively incorporated into our faith, academic, and community lives. We provide regular opportunities for all in the school community to experience prayer and sacraments with daily prayers, monthly all-school Masses, daily optional Masses before school in the Chapel of Our Lady, and monthly faculty liturgies. Our Theology curriculum and instruction is faithful to the Roman Catholic Church teachings and, as part of their curriculum, our students continue their learning outside the classroom through their participation in a precedent-setting service oriented outreach program to the Church and the community.
As they take leadership roles and hone their skills on the sports field, in the performing and visual arts, with the more than 70+ clubs and activities on campus, and in all aspects of their Xavier experience both in and outside the classroom, our students broaden their life experiences and grow spiritually, intellectually, and emotionally. The caring and committed faculty challenges and supports our students as they encourage them to explore and expand their interests, knowledge, and talents.
