Course Calculations

Only courses completed at Xavier are calculated in the cumulative Grade Point Average. Courses taken at transfer institutions are indicated on the student transcript.

Class Rank

Xavier College Preparatory does not rank its students. As Xavier has a selective student body and a rigorous college preparatory curriculum, we believe that class rank is not an accurate measurement of individual student achievement or a student’s ability to successfully complete college work.

Honors Courses

46 Honors level courses offered across all areas of the curriculum.

AP Courses

27 AP level courses offered to grades 9-12; AP English Literature is required for all seniors.

* Acceptance into Honor and AP courses is based on academic achievement and teacher recommendation.
