Class Notes Update

Historically, Xavier’s Class Notes has been featured in our Connections magazine. In a conscious effort to go green and maintain Xavier’s STEAM goals, Class Notes is now available online. Similarly, in order to maintain continuity as well as keep our community informed the featured notes will be updated twice a year (January and July). As the feature note is updated the prior will be archived as a viewable PDF available at all times. Class Notes featured prior to May 2017 are available through our Office of Alumnae Relations and are physically archived on campus in the Xavier Archive.

Britta Stinner Grubin recently relocated to London with her husband and three children. They had previously been in Zurich.

Michelle Curtis Harris and husband Jody welcomed Taylor Joseph Escher on September 14, 2022.

Sister Catherine Dunn, BVM, celebrated 70 years as a Sister of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Sister Joan Nuckols, BVM, Principal of Xavier College Preparatory, announced that nine seniors, Peyton Bryant, Hannah Fabry, Kylie Graf, Elizabeth Lamprey, Kelsey Luke, Natalie Moore, Alanna Nowlen, Evelynn Papez, Tatum
Zerbib, were named Semifinalists in the 2023 National Merit® Scholarship Program. The National Merit® Scholarship Program honors individual students who show exceptional academic ability and potential for success in rigorous college studies.

2022

Ashleigh Baros, along with Jack Sorenson BCP ’22 were finalists for the Phoenix Business Journals HealthCare Heroes. They organized Swim for the Light Project to benefit Valleywise Health Foundation.

2006

Kelsey McKone is the Administrative Manager and Marketing team member for Fundamental Income.She serves as president of the Associate Board for Boys Hope Arizona.

Faculty & Staff

Faculty Member Jennifer Gillom was named to the Arizona Hall of Fame. She was presented with a special award from Xavier.

2012

Kevyn Garcia is working for a tech startup headquartered in Phoenix. She was in Boston and San Francisco prior to moving back to Phoenix in 2020. She married Keeghan Lavin on November 12, 2022 in Phoenix. Tatum Swallow ’12 was a bridesmaid and several alumnae attended the wedding.

Some of the members of the Class of 1978 met with Paula Tessier who was visiting from Massachussetts. Mary Bedell Rosinke, Marie Jackson, Paula Tessier, Nancy Hobbs-Ekberg and Beth Treon Orton.
