Welcome to Xavier Athletics!

Sister Lynn Winsor, BVM, CMAA

Welcome to Xavier Athletics, home of the Xavier Gators.  Please take a moment to view our website and learn more about our top-ranked sports teams and programs.  We have a tradition of academic and athletic excellence earning many awards over the years.

Xavier competes in Arizona’s largest, most competitive athletic conference, the 6A Conference, Division 1, offering 12 interscholastic sports sanctioned by the AIA (Arizona Interscholastic Association); most have Varsity, JV and Freshwomen level teams.  In addition to our AIA sports, Xavier offers Varsity and JV Lacrosse, Varsity and Novice Crew/Rowing, Spiritline Cheer, Pom, and 5-Girl Stunt, Gatorline a non-competitive cheer and dance line, Mountain Biking, and the Xavier Hots Shots -- a competitive shooting/archery team.  Xavier's non-athletic competitive teams include: Mock Trial, Speech and Debate, and Robotics.  Xavier had outstanding weight training, fitness, performance enhancement, spinning, and yoga facilities.  Many of our students also serve as team managers and statisticians completing our comprehensive sports programs.
We encourage you to consider trying out for a Xavier athletic team, spirit line, or sports-related club; or you may prefer to support the teams as a team manager, student trainer, school mascot, or National Anthem singer.  If you would like more information about a sports team or any of our athletic programs, please call the Xavier Athletics Office at (602)240-3120 or visit the Athletics Office on the first floor of the Virginia Piper Science Center.
