Yesterday, your Xavier Prep Crew competed in the Desert Sprints Regatta at Tempe Town Lake with amazing success.

First place gold medals went to the following:

• Our Freshmen in the U17 Four: Naina Kode, Izzy Castro, Ella Baker, Baylor Wand and Julia Green
• Ella Boyle in the U17 Women’s Single
• U16 Quad – Lauren Aldrete, Emma Perry, Madison Minnitti, and Olivia Moshiri
• Sophie Robaina and Ella Boyle in the U17 Double
• U16 Eight: Hannah Heth, Raphy Capozzi, Emma Perry, Lauren Aldrete, Madison Minnitti, Miranda Regalado, Gabby Allen, Kate Reckers, and Olivia Moshiri

Second place silver medals were won by the following:

• Norah Dentz and Sydney Hertzberg in the Women’s Single
• Alayna Zimmerman in the Women’s U17 single
• U16 Coxed Quad – Ava Yparraguirrie, Raphy Capozzi, Gabby Allen, Bella Rivera, and Kate Reckers
• Sienna Goforth and Cara Boyle in the U17 Double
• Women’s Double: Miranda Papez and Norah Dentz, as well as Sophie Robaina and Maddy Erskine

Third place bronze medals went to the following:

• Maddie Taylor in the Women’s Single
• Sydney Hertzberg and Ella Boyle in Women’s Double
• U17 Quad: Shelsia Alcaraz-Cinco, Sofia Carbajal, Izzy Castro, and Alayna Zimmerman

Finally, in most dramatic fashion, in our last events of the day, Xavier grabbed two gold medals by nosing out our competition by one second in both events!
