 Xavier's Key Club was asked to paint a mural on a portion of a wall at 16th Street & Highland for the Children's Angel Foundation Thrift Store. The store raises money for Hacienda, which is a facility for near-drowning victims. Four area high schools were invited and each mural will be judged on Saturday, April 28. The winning mural will then be reproduced and put on one of the city of Phoenix's fire trucks! The other high schools participating are: St. Mary's, Washington High School, and Sunnyslope High School. Channel 3, Channel 12, and AZ Republic will cover the judging day. |

She was awarded a summer internship at the new Biodesign Institute at Arizona State University where she worked with doctoral students and scientists at the school’s state-of-the-art laboratory. | |
| Lost Boy sharing experiences -Ex-Sudanese refugee makes students at Xavier aware of global suffering tXavier College Preparatory classes received a special lesson in global citizenship Thursday as the school hosted one of Arizona's Lost Boys of Sudan. The Lost Boys were forced from their homeland during a civil war and endured a 1,000-mile exodus to spend years in a refugee camp in Kenya. After a childhood in the camp, hundreds got a chance to start anew in Arizona. |
