Xavier has received a special-purpose radio that will alert us to local weather hazards and police alerts for Maricopa County. This radio was provided free of charge as part of a nationwide effort by the federal government to safeguard children.
 
Xavier has activated Blackboard Connect, our new school to parent communications service.  Xavier can now send periodic and personalized voice and email messages to parents within minutes.  This service will be used to complement our emergency preparedness procedures to inform parents of emergency situations, as well as important issues affecting our students, such as attendance issues and last minute changes in sports/activities practices and games/events.  More information about this service may be found at http://www.notification.com.
