Xavier’s curriculum is founded on the core subjects of English, theology, mathematics, science, foreign language, fine arts, physical education and history, and supplemented by a variety of electives. Students who demonstrate special propensity in certain courses are invited to participate in honors and Great Books classes.

Xavier’s innovative curriculum includes courses in graphic design, film, aviation ground school, architecture, ethics, student athletic training, creative writing and mock trial seminar. Due to the addition of the Virginia G. Piper Performing Arts Center in 2003, Xavier’s fine arts curriculum expanded to include classes in theatre arts, studio art, dance, music theory, composition and performance.

The curriculum is traditional and rigorous. Twenty-four credits are required for graduation and are comprised of the following:
