8TH GRADE DAY
8th Grade Day is a special day for eighth graders who are interested in applying to Xavier. 8th Grade Day is on Friday, October 29, 2010. It begins at 9:30 a.m. and ends at 12:30 p.m. Scheduled activities for 8th Grade Day include a welcome assembly, ambassador-led tours, classroom visits and an all-school pep rally followed by lunch. Appropriate dress for 8th Graders is requested in keeping with the XCP dress code—no shorts, jeans, tank tops or flip-flops.
Interested students who are planning to attend 8th Grade Day should make a reservation EITHER by clicking here or by phone (602-277-3772). Please only make one reservation per student. Reservations will be accepted from August 21 to October 28, 2010. There will not be a confirmation of the reservation for 8th Grade Day. You only need to show up on October 29th.
Transportation to and from Xavier for 8th Grade Day is not provided by Xavier and must be arranged by parents. This is a day just for the students; parents are invited to attend Open House with their daughters on Sunday, October 31st. Please help us make this day run smoothly by following the drop off/pick up instructions for 8th Grade Day:
Drop Off Instructions:
Enter at the Highland Street entrance on 7th Street. Proceed west to the rose circle which is at the level of 5th Street. Here you will drop off your daughter who will be guided back to the Performing Arts Center by the Ambassadors where she will register.
Pick Up Instructions:
Enter at the Highland Street entrance at 7th Street. Proceed west to the circle which is at the level of 5th Street. Here your daughter will be waiting for you to be picked up. Please do not arrive before 12:20 p.m as our own students will be leaving from the parking lot around 12:10 and it can become very congested.
